A drier westerly flow will bring a couple of very nice days over the Western Region. Tropical moisture will reside in Arizona on Saturday, but will surge northward onto Park City, Sun Valley and Jackson Hole by Monday. Some afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected next week.

Long Range Forecast
Monsoonal moisture appears to be moving northward at times through the end of July and early August bringing occasional thunderstorms to the region. There is nothing unusual with this pattern, as the Monsoon often moves moisture from Mexico northward in late July and August.
